“I decided to start this Challenge with two goals in mind. To lose fat, and to feel confident in my body. I have not always had the best relationship with food. Before this Challenge, I found myself eating a jar of Nutella at a time and I would end up feeling horrible afterwards, but no matter what I did, I could not stop eating. I would wait for my family to go sleep before eating at night because I did not want them knowing how much, and how often, I was eating. I started this Challenge because I wanted a stable eating and workout plan to aid in my recovery. And this is exactly what I got. I have learnt so much about my body and how to fuel it in ways that feel and taste good. AND ALSO ENJOY THE OCCASIONAL NUTELLA ON TOAST- without the guilt.
THIS CHALLENGE CHANGED EVERYTHING! I used to view exercise as something that you MUST do, in order to punish your body for the foods you ate during the day. Whereas now, I view training as a way to celebrate what our bodies can do. I train because I genuinely enjoy it.
I have never been this proud of myself. There is no other way to describe it. I am proud of how much I have grown as a person. I am proud of how much my thoughts around food has changed. I am proud of losing 14 kilograms. But I am even prouder than I have been able to keep it off, despite life happening and me not being able to workout as often as I wish I could.
All I can say, even though it will never be enough, is THANK YOU. Thank you for being so passionate about what you do. Thank you for hyping us up and for making this opportunity available. I can’t wait to be part of the LFF team for a very long time!”
