“I decided to go with LFF because it’s only females. Which I felt more comfortable talking about real problems in life that I personally go through and what all females go through on a daily basis regarding periods, bloating feeling down and of course progress pictures. I wanted to change my lifestyle and improve my mental health regardless the challenge or not. It was one of my new year resolutions. So the Power Up Challenge came at the perfect time. It’s the best decision I have made because it has helped me in all ways of life.
Before this Challenge I used to starve myself and do gym but only cardio. This Challenge has shown me that u can eat and gym with seeing good and if not better results. I love doing weight training now as before I was always to weak or thought I would put on weight meaning muscle so I would avoid it. I have always had an eating disorder I know enjoy food and feel way stronger and push harder at gym because I’m eating enough and the right food. I have learnt that eating and gyming both benefit each other.
I feel more healthier in all ways. I’m a lot more fitter and stronger. I feel more motivated in all ways in life. I feel happy in general. I dont feel hungry all the time like I used to because of me starving myself which made me moody. I sleep better at night so I’m not tired or wake up hungry. Most importantly I feel so good when I look in the mirror and accept myself and the challenges in my body. For the first time I like how my body looks due to my mental illness of body dysmorphia. I feel comfortable in my own skin and when I feel comfortable I feel confident and when I feel confident I feel SEXY!!! I also feel proud of myself for completing this Challenge and not giving up. I feel like the best version of myself. My view on eating,exercise and my mental illness has changed completely and only for the better.
I enjoyed the WhatsApp group with all the ladies on, how we lifted each other up on hard days. How we could relate to each other on certain things and be open about what was happening in our lives during the time. I really did enjoy taking progress photos so I could see the physical change because I always used to get obsessed with the scale regarding my weight. I enjoyed taking my progress photos to see the difference where before I would be to scared to take pictures of my body to see how it looks now I will only use the picture system to see progress and not the scale. I have only lost 800 grams if we did not take pictures I would not be happy but the pictures prove that the scale means nothing.
I have never done a challenge and I thought that all we would get is a program and diet. I was very shocked about how much effort from your side goes into this Challenge regarding all emails to each person. Different diets and check in pictures. The time and effort you put into making the Portal with all the information. Very impressed with how fast you reply when I have asked you a question on WhatsApp or email.
Keep doing you because you are an inspirational women and very real when it comes to the industry you are in. You don’t come across intimidating or think you are the best. You come across as generous and show that you truly do care about your job and clients.”
