“I’ve always been insecure when it comes to my weight. When lockdown started I lost a lot of weight, most people would be glad but yet I was still insecure about it because I felt too skinny. Most people call it “skinny fat”. I knew what I wanted for myself but didn’t know how to achieve it alone. I came across LFF on Instagram. I contemplated about joining and decided to look into it a bit more. I saw the impact LFF made in other ladies’ lives and something about it just gave me reassurance that I could put my trust into the program.
This wasn’t an easy Challenge for me. Halfway through I tested positive for Covid and I became very demotivated. Training became extremely hard and I felt as if I was starting from the beginning and losing all the progress I have made from the previous Challenge. Being able to chat to Leiere and the lovey ladies on the WhatsApp group really helped. I’ve learnt that it’s OKAY to take a step back. I’ve learnt that training isn’t always about lifting heavy each session, it’s okay to go back to the basics to help gain strength again, train for yourself not for others. Nutrition is a must, you don’t need to avoid chocolate to be “fit” but you need to fuel with wholesome foods.
I honestly feel stronger after this Challenge, not just physically but mentally as well. I feel confident when it comes to making better food choices and being able to continue a healthy, active lifestyle. The best part for me has to be the meal plans. The meals are so easy and delicious, it’s not just plain old chicken everyday. It’s about having that pasta but in a healthier way!
