Taylor’s Testimony

Before lockdown began I was looking and feeling the best I have ever felt since 2017, unfortunately during lockdown I let myself go both physically and mentally. Most days I had no energy to even get out of bed, nor exercise and I had the mindset that if no one is going to see me, then it doesn’t matter what I eat or how I look because no one would be able to judge me, but I was wrong. Because I saw me! I saw the physical changes that were happening every day. I had to look at myself on a continous basis and I was the one judging myself. This happened for months until Leiere had a competition to win 1 year of LFF coaching and I knew that was a sign to get back on track and take control of my life. Because who wants to wake up and not love the person looking back at them in the mirror? Definitely not me.

YI’ve learnt that you don’t have to spend hours a day training. If you have a schedule in place and make it apart of your routine then it becomes easier to find the motivation to do. During this Challenge I came to the realization that food is my friend and not my enemy. That in order to accomplish my goals I don’t need to restrict myself completely nor do I need to starve myself.

The biggest change is the way I look at myself. After putting the before and after pics together for Leiere, I noticed that there is a drastic change in my physical appearance and I’m only able to see those changes when I look back at my progress pictures. I’ve learnt that I’m good enough in every shape and form I take. I feel content with my body at the moment but I know that changes can still be made.

The best part of this Challenge was the WhatsApp group chat. We formed a sisterhood on the group and I loved when everyone shared their stories or what they were doing etc, it became very motivating knowing you not alone in something. I just want to thank you for putting this Challenge together and putting time aside to make sure we know how to make choices that will benefit us in the present and future!”
